Reviews: the honest version

We're a new UK store — no customer reviews yet, and we won't invent any. This page will fill up with real, unedited feedback as orders ship. Until then, here's what we can honestly tell you.

Writing or commissioning fake reviews has been a banned practice in the UK since April 2025 under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 — and it was never our style anyway. So no stock-photo faces, no five-star walls, no "verified buyer" badges for buyers who don't exist. We'd rather earn reviews than fabricate them.

What buyers on the manufacturer's listing report

The launcher we sell has been shipping for months through the manufacturer's own listing, where buyers have left detailed feedback. These are not our customers and we can't verify each report individually — we read them as product knowledge, not testimonials. Paraphrased and attributed, here is what comes up consistently:

  • It launches with real force. Buyers on the manufacturer's listing describe the throw as strong for the machine's compact size — this is not a toy that dribbles the ball out.
  • A charge lasts a long session. Several buyers report getting a large number of launches from a single charge, in line with the manual's 5–6 hours of play.
  • The shortest setting works indoors. One buyer with a maltipoo reports using the 6 m distance inside without trouble — consistent with the manufacturer's own indoor guidance. Our indoor use guide covers this in detail.
  • It can startle a puppy at first. Some buyers note the launch action intimidated a young or timid dog early on, and that a gradual introduction fixed it. We wrote a full guide on training your dog to use the launcher for exactly this reason.
  • It's happier outdoors than in a small room. Buyers describe it as primarily a garden machine, with indoor play as the short-distance fallback rather than the main event.
  • The balls are not tennis balls. The machine ships with three 58 mm ETPU balls and is designed around them — standard tennis balls are larger and not compatible.

Paraphrased from buyer feedback on the manufacturer's listing, read on 5 August 2026. No names, no photos, no star maths — because they're not ours to claim.

When you've bought the launcher and your dog has had a proper go with it, email your honest verdict to contact@dog-ball-launcher.co.uk. Good, bad or mixed — we'll publish real customer feedback as received, and critical reviews won't be quietly binned. First names only if you prefer, and a photo of your dog mid-fetch is very welcome but never required.

Want to see how we check the claims we do make? That's on our how we verify page — including the specs we removed from this site because we couldn't source them.
